Vol. 372 No. 7

Written Answers. - Women in Business Scheme.

91.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the budget allocation for the women in business scheme, formerly operated by the Minister of State for Women's Affairs; and if the criteria for the scheme are the same since its transfer to his Department.

The revised Estimate for my Department published recently includes a provision of £80,000 for the women in business enterprise scheme.

Expenditure of £26,000 prior to 9 April 1987 is shown in the Vote for the Department of the Taoiseach.

The criteria for the scheme remain as they were, i.e. the service is available to all women with business ideas which they hope to progress.
