asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the fact that a person (details supplied) in County Wexford who applied for a house improvement grant has been waiting several months for a final inspection despite several departmental reminders to the inspector concerned; and when a final inspection will be carried out and payment made.

It has been necessary to request a further report from the Department's inspector and on its receipt payment of the grant will be considered further.
