The appointment of vocational teachers and their assignment to individual vocational schools is primarily a matter for the vocational education committee concerned.
For the purpose of servicing the courses conducted by committees my Department authorise an allocation of teaching posts each year. This allocation is made on a committee-wide basis and not in respect of individual schools. The allocation in respect of the 1987-88 school year is under consideration at present in my Department.
