Vol. 373 No. 8

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

219.

asked the Minister for Health when the decision will be made on the application for disabled person's maintenance allowance of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 1; and the reasons for the delay in processing the application.

The amount of disabled person's maintenance allowance payable in any individual case is a matter for determination by the health board concerned, having regard to all the relevant circumstances in that case.

I have had inquiries made from the Eastern Health Board in this case and I have been informed that the board are awaiting the results of the person's medical examination. He will be informed of the result of his application as soon as possible.
