Vol. 373 No. 13

Written Answers. - Income Tax Rebate.

87.

asked the Minister for Finance the reason for the delay in payment of an income tax rebate to a person (details supplied) in County Waterford.

The Revenue Commissioners have advised me that there has been no delay in dealing with this case. The taxpayer's claim for a repayment of tax falls to be dealt with by way of a review of his liability for 1986-87 and the details required to carry out this review were supplied to the inspector of taxes as recently as 15 June, 1987. The review will be dealt with as soon as possible and any refund found to be due will then be made to the taxpayer.
