Vol. 375 No. 4

Written Answers. - Grant Payment.

94.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a person (details supplied) in County Kerry has not been paid a grant for works carried out under the farm modernisation/ western drainage scheme, even though the work has been complete since 1980.

The work in question had not been completed when inspected by the local Farm Development Service on 22 December 1986. Since the western drainage scheme expired on 31 December 1986 no inspections of approved work were carried out after that date. The Council of Ministers decided last week to extend the scheme until the end of 1988. If on further inspection the applicant's work is found to have been satisfactorily completed payment of the grant will be certified in the normal way.
