Vol. 375 No. 4

Written Answers. - Milk Imports from Northern Ireland.

96.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his attention has been drawn to any imports of milk from Northern Ireland by co-ops in the Border area to fill quotas; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am not aware of any imports of milk from Northern Ireland other than the normal transfers of small quantities which take place between manufacturing plants in the Border area. These transfers are legally accounted for under the Community Regulations on the quota system.
