asked the Minister for Labour if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will be paid a Christmas bonus as he is shortly to complete the management and interpretation of a computerised system course with AnCO; if persons in these circumstances will qualify for the Christmas bonus; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The person in question is receiving an allowance equivalent to unemployment benefit. No Christmas bonus is payable to this category of social welfare recipient or trainee.
