asked the Minister for Education with reference to her reply to Parliamentary Question No. 184 on 3 November 1987, if she will make a statement in relation to: (a) the 12 schools which have completed stage 6 and (b) the 43 schools which have completed stage 5, giving; (1) the name and address of each school (2) the nature of the proposed buildings (3) the estimated cost of each project and (4) if she has any proposals to expedite the commencement of building work on the schools concerned.

I am not prepared to authorise the compilation of the information sought by the Deputy in parts (1) to (3) of his question as it would require an inordinate amount of staff time.
In reply to part (4) I wish to state the rate at which these projects will proceed will depend on the availability of capital resources and on my Department's other commitments and priorities.
