Vol. 379 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

67.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a house improvement grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if his attention has been drawn to the fact that these premises were finally inspected in November 1987.

asked the Minister for the Environment the reason for the long delay in payment of a grant to Killerguile group water scheme, Clonea Power, County Waterford; and when payment will issue.

There has been no avoidable delay on the part of my Department in dealing with this case. Confirmation that the group had obtained legal access to the source was received from them at the end of December 1987 and a final inspection is at present being carried out by my Department's inspector with a view to ascertaining what balance of grant may be due.

69.

asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the application of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary under the new house grants scheme; and when payment of same will issue.

An inspection, with a view to the approval and payment of the £2,250 "builders" grant, will be carried out as soon as possible.

70.

asked the Minister for the Environment when payment of a house improvement grant will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will receive payment of a house improvement grant.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kildare; if an inspection has been carried out, if the work was found to be satisfactory; if there are any further requirements; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

There is no record of the receipt of an application from the person named at the address given. There is, however, an application from a person with the same name and from a broadly similar address. In that case the applicant was not at home when an inspector called recently and a further inspection with a view to payment of a grant will be carried out as soon as possible.
