asked the Minister for Health when a person (details supplied) in County Cork who applied for a medical card seven weeks ago will be awarded same.

The question of determining eligibility for a medical card in individual cases is the responsibility of the chief executive officer of the appropriate health board. Accordingly in this instance, the Deputy's question has been referred to the Chief Executive Officer, Southern Health Board, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.

asked the Minister for Health the reason a person (details supplied) in County Cork has been refused a medical card, as his only income is £66 per week.

asked the Minister for Health the reason a decision has not been made by the Southern Health Board on an application made for renewal of a medical card for a person (details supplied) in County Cork having regard to the fact that this application for renewal was submitted two months ago.
