asked the Minister for Energy if it is proposed to allow non-nationals to tender for and acquire shooting rights over Land Commission lettings including forestry areas from 1988; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Shooting Right Lettings.

At present, no restrictions are imposed on non-nationals in regard to competing for lettings of shooting rights held by the Land Commission or the Forest Service. These lettings are arranged through public tender competitions and, in the past, a small number of non-nationals have been successful in bidding for and securing lettings. No changes in these arrangements are under consideration.
