Vol. 380 No. 9

Written Answers. - Industrial Relations Training.

10.

asked the Minister for Justice the number of staff in his Department who have undergone personnel or industrial relations training; and his views on whether there is a need to review the present situation.

All staff in my Department, including those dealing with personnel and industrial relations matters, receive on-the-job training augmented by attendance at formal training courses and at specialist seminars and conferences.

Six officers have attended or are attending courses of study leading to formal qualifications in Personnel Management or in Industrial Relations.

I consider that the present arrangements are satisfactory.
