Vol. 381 No. 1

Written Answers. - Dublin Ambulance Services.

85.

asked the Minister for Health the present position regarding the provision of ambulance services in the Dublin area.

The provision of ambulance services is a matter for each health board in the first instance.

In the Dublin area, the Eastern Health Board provides a cardiac ambulance service and routine transport such as interhospital transfers and transport for certain patients to outpatients clinics. The Dublin fire brigade provides the 999 emergency ambulance service, on an agency basis, to the Eastern Health Board.
