Because of the pressure on the funds available to my Department for the national schools building programme I am not in a position to sanction a grant towards the cost of an extra room for the County Clare primary school referred to.
My Department has sought a report from the local Office of Public Works as to the condition of the roof of the main school structure. Should improvements be recommended an appropriate grant would be offered towards the cost of necessary works.
