Vol. 384 No. 9

Written Answers. - Dublin-Belfast Road.

15.

asked the Minister for the Environment whether he has received a request from Dublin County Council for the necessary sanction and finance in order to convert the Dublin-Belfast road between the airport roundabout and the Pinnock Hill roundabout into a dual carriageway; and, if so, when the necessary moneys and approval will be forthcoming.

Revised proposals recently received from Dublin County Council for the upgrading of the NI between the airport roundabout and Pinnock roundabout to dual-carriageway standard are under consideration in my Department. The question of funding for the scheme will be considered when road grants for 1989 are being determined.
