Vol. 385 No. 6

Written Answers. - County Offaly Schools.

asked the Minister for Education if she will arrange for the provision of an extra teacher at a national school (details supplied) in County Offaly as the staff are unable to ensure that every class has less than 40 pupils, and the school has since had to take in three further pupils since applying for the extra teacher.

I am arranging for the staffing situation in this school to be reviewed, in order to determine whether an additional appointment might be warranted.

asked the Minister for Education if she will replace school windows at a school (details supplied) in County Offaly.

I understand that a request for financial assistance towards the cost of replacing defective windows at the County Offaly school referred to is to be made to my Department. On receipt of the application, the matter will be investigated by my Department's professional advisers and grant-aid will be offered as recommended by them.
