A number of developments in the policing of Dublin North-East have already taken place over the past 12 months or so. The community policing scheme is now in operation in five areas there and a Garda "clinic" has been extablished at Donaghmeade shopping centre to promote greater contact between the local community and the Garda. The question of extending the community policing scheme to other areas of Dublin North-East is being considered.
The current strengths of Coolock and Raheny stations are 103 and 61 respectively.
