Vol. 387 No. 2

Written Answers. - Day Care Education.

82.

asked the Minister for Health when full-time day care education will be made available to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 5 who suffers from cerebral palsy and who attends St. Michael's House, Raheny, Dublin 5, two days per week.

Provision of day care facilities is a matter for each health board in the first instance. Places are allocated on the basis of the priority needs of individual cases, having regard to the assessments made by the relevant professionals.

I have made inquiries from the Eastern Health Board in this case. The board are unable to state at the present time when full-time day services will be available for this person.
