Vol. 387 No. 5

Written Answers. - Appointment of Teacher.

91.

asked the Minister for Education if she will as a matter of urgency appoint a teacher to St. Joseph's boys national school, Newtownmountkennedy, County Wicklow as no permanent teacher has been appointed to the 34 pupil senior infants class since the vacancy arose in October 1988.

I had recently sanctioned a temporary teacher for this school until the appropriate arrangements could be made for the appointment of a permanent teacher from the diocesan panel.

A permanent teacher has been appointed from the diocesan panel to fill the vacancy in this school, and took up duty on 13 February 1989.
