I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that an application for the cancellation of a cottage purchase annuity was received in the Land Registry in mid-1988 from the person referred to in the question. This application was returned under query to the applicant on 1 September 1988 and has not been re-lodged to date. I am also informed that there is no application pending in respect of the folio quoted by the Deputy. If the Deputy lets me have the date of lodgment of the application in the Land Registry or any other references which may be available, I will make further inquiries in the matter.
