asked the Minister for Education if she will give details of her plans to ensure the construction of a regional technical college in Tallaght, Dublin 24; and if she will report on progress made since she indicated in Dáil Eireann in December 1988 her intention of seeking EC funding for such a college.

As I announced in the Dáil on 14 April 1989 during the course of my presentation on the National Development Plan, the regional technical college for Tallaght has indeed been proposed for EC funding in the context of the plan. As I also announced the Government attaches high priority to this project.
