Vol. 389 No. 7

Written Answers. - Scoil Uí Dhálaigh, Leixlip.

207.

asked the Minister for Education the proposals she has for the extension of facilities at Scoil Uí Dhálaigh, Leixlip, County Kildare; when she will respond to the required extended facilities; whether it is expected that these matters will be finalised in the current year; the cost involved; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

It is proposed to provide an eight classroom permanent extension in two storeys and some ancillary accommodation at Scoil Uí Dhálaigh, Leixlip, County Kildare. The whole matter was recently discussed with the school authorities and their architects who are to submit some additional details and revised costings for the project. When these are received and found to be in order the Department will be in a position to authorise the architectural planning to continue.

I am not in a position, at this stage, to say when building works may commence. It is a long established practice not to divulge the cost of a project to outside parties.
