Vol. 391 No. 6

Written Answers. - Specialist Hospital Operation.

67.

asked the Minister for Health if approval for a specialist hospital operation will issue to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford further to a submission made to him earlier this year; and, in view of the urgency of the matter, if he will expedite a decision in this regard.

The person you refer to made private arrangements to have a specialist hospital operation carried out abroad. However, the South Eastern Health Board have agreed to make a contribution in view of the substantial cost. A reply to this effect has issued.
