Question:53 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education if she has come to a decision in relation to changes in the method of providing school transport services; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The operation of the school transport scheme is kept under constant review.
As part of that review, a consultancy study has been commissioned to report on the cost effectiveness of the existing arrangements and, if appropriate, to recommend alternatives.
I will consider the position when this report becomes available.
