Vol. 398 No. 4

Written Answers. - Tax Free Allowance.

Ned O'Keeffe

Question:

61 Mr. E. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Finance if he will arrange to have a tax free allowance increased in respect of a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

I have been advised by the Revenue Commissioners that the most recently completed return of income form furnished by the taxpayer was for the tax year 1980-81. The inspector of taxes has written to the taxpayer requesting the details necessary to enable the tax-free allowances granted to him for the current year to be amended, if necessary.
