42 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence in relation to the Second Line Reserve, (1) the extent and progress of the computerisation of personnel and service details, and (2) the average length of service of privates, seamen, corporals, leading seamen, NCO's and officers.
Personnel and service records of about 90 per cent of non-commissioned officers and privates of the Second Line Reserve have been computerised. None of the personnel and service records of officers of the Second Line Reserve have been computerised to date.
