Question:160 Mr. Bradford asked the Minister for the Environment if he is prepared to meet a deputation from Midleton Urban District Council, County Cork, to discuss the serious housing shortage in the Midleton area.

The 1991 housing capital allocations for individual authorities will be determined as soon as possible having regard to the competing needs of authorities and the capital available for the housing construction programme nationally.
In these circumstances I consider that no useful purpose would be served at this stage by meeting a deputation from Midleton Urban District Council.
