Vol. 403 No. 8

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Allowance.

Nuala Fennell

Question:

179 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Health the reason disabled person's maintenance allowance is being withheld from a person (details supplied) in Dublin 9 despite letters, phone calls, home visits and a medical examination; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of disabled persons maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board, with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy.
