Vol. 403 No. 9

Written Answers. - Cataract Operation.

Gerry Reynolds

Question:

77 Mr. G. Reynolds asked the Minister for Health if a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim will be called for a cataract operation in the current year; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I understand that the person concerned has been seen as an out-patient at Beaumont Hospital and that she will have her operation performed at the Mater Hospital in late January or early February, 1991.

Arrangements regarding an individual patient's position on a waiting list and when his/her operation will be performed are entirely a matter for the clinician concerned and the Deputy will appreciate that it is not a matter in which I have any involvement.
