Question:159 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice the number of permits issued in Cork city for the collection of moneys for various organisations and charities in the years 1985 to 1990.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the number of permits issued in accordance with the provisions of the Street and House to House Collections Act, 1962 in the Garda districts that comprise Cork city for the years 1985 to 1990 is as follows: 1985, 540; 1986, 539; 1987, 563; 1988, 546; 1989, 557; 1990, 524.
