172 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for the Environment if his attention has been drawn to the continuing difficulties in obtaining safety certificates under the Multi-Storey Buildings Act, 1988, as in the case of a committee (details supplied) in Dublin 5; and whether he is in a position to help find a resolution to this difficulty.

I have received representations from residents in the building in question. The matter is being examined in my Department and a reply will issue to the residents in due course.
