Question:192 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Health the reason there is no permanent district nurse in the Delvin dispensary area of County Westmeath.
Written Answers. - District Nurse Appointment.
In the further development of community care services the Midland Health Board has taken an initiative in appointing a liaison nurse to improve arrangements in respect of patients discharged from hospital. A permanent public health nurse has been appointed to this new post. Pending experience of the situation the vacancy in the Delvin area is being filled on a temporary rather than permanent basis. These arrangements will be reviewed by the board.
