Question:97 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Justice the number of Hong Kong nationals living in Ireland; and the number who were naturalised in the years 1988, 1989 and 1990.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that there are approximately 850 Hong Kong nationals registered in the State.
The number of those granted certificates of naturalisation in the period 1988-1990 is as follows: 1988, 41; 1989, 31; 1990, 37.
