Question:

98 Mr. R. Richard Bruton

Question:

99 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice if he will give details of the Garda strength in the overall Garda district covering the area from Howth, County Dublin across through Clontarf and over to Blanchardstown for each of the last five years and on the latest date available to him; and if he will provide an early allocation to this district in view of the declining numbers.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 98 and 99 together. The particulars sought in the questions are set out in the following table.

The detailed allocation of Garda manpower to particular areas is a matter for the Garda authorities who report that the question of further allocations of manpower to the DMA Northern Division will be kept under review according as additional manpower becomes available.
