Vol. 405 No. 4

Written Answers. - Kilkenny Hospital Overcrowding.

Phil Hogan

Question:

111 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Health if he will outline the type of interim proposals that he has promised to implement in respect of St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny in order to alleviate existing overcrowding; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Discussions are currently taking place between officials of my Department and the South-Eastern Health Board with a view to relieving some of the present pressures at this hospital.

A range of proposals are being examined and I am hopeful that agreement will be reached at an early date.
