Question:

94 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Health if he will outline his policy on the future of county hospitals with particular reference to the County Hospital, Bantry, County Cork.

The Government are committed to maintaining hospital services at a level not less than that which was approved for 1990. In this context Bantry County Hospital will continue to provide acute medical and surgical services for their present catchment area.
