Vol. 406 No. 4

Written Answers. - Rathfarnham, Dublin, School.

Roger T. Garland

Question:

71 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Education if she will outline her plans to improve the conditions at the School of the Divine Word, Marley Grange, Rathfarmham, Dublin 16; if her attention has been drawn to the fact that (a) the railing surrounding the school which has been worked on since last September is still incomplete, (b) that children have nowhere to play, (c) there are JCBs still in the school grounds and (d) abandoned cars have been dumped in the school grounds; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

The undertaking of the works referred to by the Deputy at the Divine Word national school, Rathfarnham, Dublin 16 are matters for the school authorities.

On 20 July 1990 my Department authorised the school authorities to proceed with the provision of boundary fencing at the school on the basis of proposals and costings prepared by his consultants.
