Question:

32 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for Education if she has received tenders for the new community school in Cashel, County Tipperary; if she is prepared to discuss, with local interest groups, her proposal to reduce the size of the school; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

Discussions have recently taken place between my Department and the school authorities in Cashel and agreement has been reached on the long term provision to be made in the new school.

Applications have already been sought from contractors who wish to tender, and tenders will be invited shortly.
