Vol. 415 No. 7

Written Answers. - Facilities for Physically Handicapped.

Pat Rabbitte

Question:

52 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Education if he has any plans to meet the need in the Tallaght area of Dublin 24 of cerebral palsy sufferers in terms of a special school or clinic having regard to the fact that currently there are 31 applicants who cannot be accommodated in the Sandymount school.

I am satisfied that the needs of children in the Tallaght area with a range of physical handicaps, including cerebral palsy, can adequately be met in Scoil Mochua, Clondalkin. This school caters for the same range of physical handicaps as the Sandymount school.
