Vol. 416 No. 2

Written Answers. - Proposed National Sports Centre.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

112 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the amount of State money which has been spent on consultancy fees and other expenses, including foreign travel, to survey various stadia worldwide for the proposed national sports centre at the Custom House Dock site.

A small amount of foreign travel and other expenses was incurred by officials of my Department, and by the Custom House Docks Development Authority as its development agent, in connection with the surveying of various stadia for the proposed national sports centre at the Custom House Dock site.

I am not in a position to give the Deputy the precise amount in the time available but I will communicate with him directly when it has been computed.
