81 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education when the term of the last national sports council, Cospóir, expired; the length of time the question of the reappointment of Cospóir has been under consideration by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The three year term of office of Cospóir, the National Sports Council, ended in June 1988. The construction and future operation of a new council is at present under consideration and a statement will be made in due course.
