Vol. 416 No. 4

Written Answers. - Anti-Flu Vaccine.

Roger T. Garland

Question:

86 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Health the source of the anti-flu vaccine recently used in Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the central purchasing office of the Eastern Health Board that the vaccine used in the flu season just passed was "Bergrivac-F" which was supplied by Hoechst Ireland Limited.

The central purchasing office negotiates a bulk purchase price on behalf of the eight regional health boards.
