Vol. 417 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Terry Leyden

Question:

416 Mr. Leyden asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will approve payment of headage and suckler grants and a beef premium for a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon.

The person named has been paid his 1991 cattle headage and suckler cow premium scheme grants already.

His 1991 special beef premium scheme application is being processed at present and if found in order payment will issue shortly.

Ivan Yates

Question:

417 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if the final stage payment of a ewe premium will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford earlier than mid-April, 1992 in view of his financial difficulties; and whether such an early payment is possible in individual cases.

The third instalment of the 1991 ewe premium has been fixed at £9.05 per ewe. Payment, however, cannot be made until the relevant EC Commission regulation has been published which is expected to be in about three weeks time.
