Vol. 418 No. 7

Written Answers. - Division of Commonage.

Enda Kenny

Question:

277 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will outline the present position regarding the division of a commonage for a person (details supplied) in County Mayo.

Compulsory proceedings were initiated for the division of the Aillemore commonage, Killadoon, Westport in January 1990. The proceedings, however, were suspended pending judgment by the High Court on an appeal against the compulsory division of another commonage in County Mayo. This judgment has now been given and further action regarding the division of the Aillemore commonage is being considered in the light of this judgment.
