100 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will, (1) provide a list of every offshore company with which the Government have relations along with a listing of its owners and (2) outline the specific nature and scope of these relations.
I am unclear as to the purpose of the Deputy's question but, taken literally, it would require, in so far as my Department is concerned, a listing of a large volume of companies with which the Department might have contact from time to time in the course of the administration of its business. As this would involve an inordinate amount of Department officials' time, I do not consider it appropriate to compile such a list.
