Question:

50 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education if he will outline the current position in regard to a school extension in respect of a primary school (details supplied) in County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Building work on the extension to the school in County Offaly referred to by the Deputy has reached a stage where work could commence.

It is hoped to appoint contractors at an early date.

51 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Education when tenders will be invited for the extension works at Mountmellick community school; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Approval for the invitation of tenders for the proposed works at this School has recently been given. The consultants involved have been requested to proceed with the arrangements as soon as possible.
