Question:

175 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if his Department have a interest at present or any future interest in land at Arbour Hill, Dublin 7; and if his Department have objected to the sale of Department of Defence owned land there, which is required by a developer to provide access to a proposed housing development at Halliday Square, Dublin 7.

My Department would have reservations on security grounds about any proposed development which would involve building too close to the perimeter of Arbour Hill prison. The Department of Defence have been asked to take this consideration into account in negotiations with the developer referred to in the question.
