Vol. 419 No. 6

Written Answers. - Third Level Psychology Curriculum.

Dick Spring

Question:

177 Mr. Spring asked the Minister for Education if he will outline any specific plans he has to reform the third level psychology curriculum to include the teaching of personal construct psychology; and if he will provide a timetable for the implementation of this expansion.

Matters relating to curricula and courses in third-level institutions are appropriate to the authorities of those institutions — my Department does not set third-level curricula as it does for primary and second-level institutions. I understand, however, that personal construct psychology already forms part of psychology curricula in most universities.
