Vol. 419 No. 9

Written Answers. - Meath Schools Staffing.

John Bruton

Question:

91 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education if he will list the schools in Meath that will qualify for a secretary and/or a caretaker under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress.

Under the Programme for Economic and Social Progress, it is proposed to introduce a phased programme, commencing this year to expand the provision of caretaking and clerical services to national schools with 100 pupils upwards and to post primary schools with 200 pupils upwards.

The details of this scheme are at present under consideration, therefore, I am not in a position to say at this point what schools in Meath will benefit under the new scheme.
